SHINGETSU NO BAN NI

Description

After experiencing the frustration of demotion and forced withdrawal from the professional shogi training institution known as the "Shōreikai," high school student Yuzuki Gintani quit shogi altogether.
However, when his classmate Rurin Yoshikane discovers he was once a Shōreikai member, Yuzuki is reminded of the part of him that still loves the game.
He decides to start playing shogi again—not as someone aiming to go pro, but simply as a member of the school shogi club.
This is a story of youth and recovery for a boy who couldn’t become a professional.
